QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q: What are the chains made of ?

A: All my permanent Jewelry chains are 14k gold filled, or sterling silver. (I can get other gold on special orders). But the 14k gold filled are 100% nickel free, and hypoallergenic.

Q: Can it be removed ?

A: Yes, simply cut off your chain very carefully, using a pair of scissors.

Q: How long will it stay on ?

A: Depending on how you take care of it, but it will stay on as long as you like. With proper care, permanent jewelry can last for months and even years.

Q: How do I care for my jewelry?

A: As you probably already know, jewelry is not indestructable. In order to keep it in the best condition, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals.

Q: What is 14k gold fill? Is it better than gold plate?

A: 14k gold fill is by far better than gold plate!!!! I do not use gold plate in my permanent jewelry, It wears off in just a short time, and you are left with what appears to be “worn out” jewelry! 14k gold fill is a much better investment. Gold fill is made by heat and pressure, Bonding a layer of 14k gold to a brass core. Gold is naturally very soft, so bonding it to brass adds strength to our designs. The great thing about this process is you will not have to worry about flaking, tarnishing, allergies, or turning your skin green. Normal wear and tear will not impact your gold fill. Gold fill is naturally, tarnish resistant. Gold will not tarnish unless its around very harsh chemicals. Beware that hot tubs and swim pools can tarnish the gold. But it can be shined up with the cloth I give you, or by simply using toothpaste!

Q: If I feel I need to clean my jewelry, How do I do that?

A: The biggest threats to gold fill are abrasves. So avoid scratching the surface with harsh polishers, baking soda, or sandpaper. I suggest a polishing cloth or even toothpaste. Rub the toothpaste on with your fingers, then just rinse with water.

Q: What if my sterling silver needs shined?

A: Usually if you wear sterling silver, it keeps itself polished by normal everyday wear. But if you do need to polish it, just use a little toothpaste and cloth. Then rinse with water, It will become shiny!
